Roy Keane is returning to a TV near you, at the end of the day

The Ireland assistant has a bit more free time after stepping down from the same role with Aston Villa.

ROY KEANE WILL return to ITV as a pundit alongside Paul Scholes when new football anchor Mark Pougatch makes his debut during Chelsea’s Champions Leauge tie with PSG on Tuesday week.

The Ireland assistant manager has some additional free time on his hands after leaving his role as Paul Lambert’s number two at Aston Villa.

The former Manchester Untied captain was seen as a breath of fresh air when he first joined ITV and rarely holds back when asked for an opinion.

After quitting the broadcaster on the eve of the 2014 World Cup, the Daily Mail now reports that Keane’s return is on a game by game basis but, alongside the newly talkative Scholes, should ensure new presenter Pougatch doesn’t have too much dead air to fill.

The BBC Radio 5 Live presenter recently replaced Adrian Chiles in a shake up at ITV after the broadcaster lost the rights to show Champions League football from the end of the current season.
